Peer-to-Peer Support
At Why Me, we understand that diagnosis and treatment are only the beginning of a lifelong journey. We stand beside families every step of the way, helping restore balance and harmony in their lives.
At Why Me, our Peer Support programs bring together families who understand the realities of childhood cancer. Whether you’re navigating treatment or life after remission, we create spaces for parents and survivors to share experiences, gain confidence, and support one another through every phase of the journey.
Parent to Parent is a monthly support group for families affected by childhood cancer, offering a safe space to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss the emotional, medical, and practical challenges of a child’s illness. Meetings include guest speakers or focused topics as well as open forums, helping parents gain confidence, connect with others who understand their journey, and support one another through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
Let’s Talk Survivorship is a peer group for parents of children who have completed cancer treatment. It provides a safe space to discuss long-term challenges – emotional, social, and practical – share experiences, gain insights from guest speakers, and support from one another in navigating life after treatment.
