Throughout the year, it serves as a welcoming home for programs, support groups, family activities, and special events designed to support the whole family. From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Sherry’s House brings families together, creates moments of joy, and provides a space where no family has to face childhood cancer alone.

Families are welcome at our year-round activities and events or can stop by anytime for a quiet visit and a conversation with staff. No matter where you are in your journey, you’re welcome here.
Sherry’s House offers free lodging for families whose child is receiving treatment at a Central New England hospital. This home-away-from-home provides warmth, comfort, and support during what can be weeks or months of care, giving families a welcoming place to rest, recharge, and be together.
The house features eight kid-friendly bedrooms, each with a hand-painted mural inspired by themes like Under the Sea, The Jungle Book, Circus Tent, and Storybook & Fairytales. These bright, welcoming spaces help make Sherry’s House a comforting place for families during a difficult time.

Sherry’s House features cozy living spaces, a children’s library and computer room, a family kitchen, playroom gazebo, Jason’s Healing Garden, playground, game room, Ben’s Corner arts & crafts center, parents’ library and quiet room, and more. The home is fully accessible, with wireless internet, an elevator, and handicap-accessible bathrooms.
Most Why Me families live within commuting distance of Worcester or Boston hospitals and use Sherry’s House for short stays—before admissions, after discharges, or for brief getaways. Some families relocate for their child’s care and stay for weeks or months. Residential stays are just one part of the personalized support we provide.
